Seville Three Kings Parade: a practical guide to experiencing January 5th (and staying in the city center)
26/12/2025
Época Suites
The Three Kings Parade in Seville is one of the biggest events of the year: music, floats, sweets… and a route that covers a large part of the historic center. If you're planning to come in 2026, here's a clear guide to help you organize your trip based at Época Suites : the best places to see, how to get around with children, what to do before and after, and where to stay in the heart of the city.

1) First of all: when and how
- Main day: January 5 (afternoon-evening). The itinerary and schedule are published each year ; it's advisable to check them the day before.
- Plan your "viewing spot" in advance and arrive 45-60 minutes early if you are going with children.
- Useful kit: water, snacks, wipes, bags of candy, power bank and a light outer garment.

2) Where to watch the parade (areas with good visibility)
- Avenida de la Constitución – Archivo de Indias / Catedral: scenic and very central; it usually fills up quickly.
- Puerta de Jerez – Prado: spacious and easily accessible.
- Triana (Puente / Altozano / San Jacinto) if the annual itinerary crosses that area: family and local atmosphere.
- Los Remedios (Plaza de Cuba, Calle Asunción) is said by Sevillians to be the most fun area to see, with young people, families and a festive atmosphere.
- Plaza Nueva – Campana – Sierpes: very “classic”, but very crowded; it is advisable to arrive well in advance.

3) Tips for families
- Children in front, adults behind: everyone can see and you are all together.
- Hearing protection if you are sensitive to noise.
- Strategic exit: choose a spot with cafes/bathrooms nearby.
- Carts: they work best on avenues ; on narrow streets you may encounter blockages.

4) Transport and cuts
- The city center will restrict traffic and modify bus/tram lines on January 5.
- Walking is the most practical way to get around if you're staying in the city center.
- If you arrive by car, consider perimeter parking and entering on foot.
- Check the tram/Metro operating hours (service is usually increased on holidays).

5) What to do before and after
Before (morning/midday)- Last nativity scenes in the city center (Town Hall, Cathedral area) and Nativity Scene Fair if it is still active.

- Chocolate with churros to give you strength.

Later (night)
- Enjoy a toast with a view at Terraza del Contratador (rooftop of Época Suites) or a light dinner near the accommodation.
- If you're traveling with kids: have an early dinner and a quick trip home for the "magical night".

6) Neighborhood parades and Heralds (days prior)
In addition to the main parade on January 5th , Seville experiences the excitement in its neighborhoods with more local and relaxed parades:- Triana and San Pablo organize neighborhood parades in the days leading up to the event, with a neighborhood atmosphere, fewer crowds, and a comfortable route for families.

- The Heralds (for example, in Los Remedios and Triana ) liven up the streets collecting letters and getting everyone in the spirit before the big day. If you arrive on January 3rd or 4th , try to catch at least one Herald: it's fun, friendly, and perfect for kids.

7) Express checklist
- Check the official route and schedule the day before.
- Mark a meeting point in case you get separated.
- Book meals in advance (very busy days).
- Comfortable shoes and an extra layer for the cool evening air.
